KART Hanford Study

All KART services in Hanford are being evaluated through a Fixed Route Study on behalf of the Kings County Area Public Transit Agency (KCAPTA).

This page will help keep you informed and involved!

This study will result in changes to the KART Hanford fixed routes to best serve the new Hanford Transit Station. We’ve surveyed passengers, evaluated ridership and travel times, and developed a new routing system to improve the service.

Benefits of the Plan Include

  1. Improved travel times

  2. Reduces congestion at West 7th Street and N. 11th Avenue.

  3. Simplified routing – easier to understand

  4. More bi-directional service

  5. New service areas

  6. Through routing for fewer transfers

  7. At least hourly timed connections at the Transit Center on all routes

  • September 8th from 3:30-4:30 PM at the Hanford Transfer Station (504 W. 7th Street in Hanford)

  • September 8th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Thursday Night Market (400 N Douty St in Hanford)

  • September 8th from 9:30-11:00 AM at the Hanford Transfer Station (504 W. 7th Street, Hanford)
